We love those morning walks to our local coffee shop and the smell of coffee. We know you do too. Yet many coffee shops are struggling to survive as the economy is still partially locked down. We are committed to supporting our local coffee economy through these difficult times and we hope that Luwak will allow you to do the same while respecting social distancing rules.
Luwak or civets are small nocturnal animals native of tropical Asia and Africa. They are caged and used to create one of the world’s most expensive coffees. We don’t like this! We called our app Luwak to express our vision of the coffee that we like: one that is sourced sustainably, produced and distributed while respecting the planet and supporting vulnerable communities.
The challenges of the coffee industry are many and waste is one of them. We are also working hard to implement the business models that will allow you to minimise waste and make sure you can enjoy your coffee … guilt-free!
